12/31/09 - Cleveland Scene Magazine published an extended article on The Woovs in December. Check it out here.

6/8/09 - It was certainly a weekend to remember for The Woovs. Friday morning we embarked on our first out-of-state gig
to the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana to support Coldplay. We knew going in we wouldn't be sharing
the same stage as the six-time grammy winning band but that didn't ruin our excitement. The venue threw in food, drink
and VIP access for the entire night. Enough said.

The stage in the VIP Club was nice, set high above the mobs of people quickly filling into the available tables. We started
just after 6PM and by 7PM we had garnered the attention of many new listeners and fans. We played a solid set.
Our CDs were gone. Our job was done. Here we come green room!

Coldplay's set was tremendous. Tons of energy, nice transitions, great visuals and movement throughout the entire show.
The acoustic version of "Green Eyes" on the lawn seemed to be a band favorite. We didn't get to meet the band, but during
a walk through to another stage located near the lawn, Rick held out our disc to Chris Martin and he took it. We were all buzzed
about that and when the show ended we packed up the gear and headed back to the hotel. Half the band went out,
the others went to sleep. Overall it was a very rewarding experience and we're expecting many good things to come from it.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our show at Hoopple's in Cleveland. We apologize to anyone who planned on attending.
The owner was upset and vowed to never book us there again. We offered to play the next night but it was a no go. We also
opted to find another band for him but he declined. To top things off, he threatened to bad mouth us to surrounding Cleveland
area clubs. Here's the kicker; If Cleveland had beat Orlando he was going to cancel the show altogether. Talk about chopped
liver. I guess that's the biz for ya.

THIS JUST IN! - The Woovs are opening for Cotton Jones!

5/26/09 - Wednesday, June 24 will be a special night for The Woovs. We'll be supporting one of our favorite bands,
the Maryland-based Cotton Jones at The Beachland Tavern. Their CD Paranoid Cocoon, released on Suicide Squeeze
Records earlier this year is getting great press and it's certainly well deserved. Mike, Whitney and the crew put on a
stellar performance in the tavern in March and getting to play with them this time around makes it very special for us.
Make sure to mark this event down and grab your tickets early. It's gonna be a fun one!

5/26/09 - I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday weekend. Thanks to all who came out to
support the band at Brothers Lounge, The Ohio Brewing Company & The Symposium.

Friday night certainly had its ups and downs. It couldn't have started off better with Lebron's buzzer beater.
A big thumbs down to the unruly man who stumbled onstage during our break, broke our equipment, lied about
his name and tried to sneak away. You can't deceive the eyes of a wolf my man. Thanks to The Ohio Brewing
Company staff, Tommy, & The Akron Police Department for properly handling the situation.

Saturday night was our first appearance at Cleveland's Symposium on Detroit Ave. We opened in the cozy little
dive bar, followed by the impressive Matt Munhall Trio and Alias Grace. These bands are worth looking into. Check em out.

5/22/09 - The Woovs will be playing at The Ohio Brewing Company tonight.
The show is FREE and will begin around 10PM.

5/21/09 - Battle of The Bands Semifinals Tonight @ The Brothers Lounge in Cleveland. Be there!

How about that dancing biker? Thanks also to The Woovs Hype-man "Mark the Shark", The Happy Dog, Paper Airplane,
The Heights Band and The Camel Hunters. Please take the time to visit their Web sites.

A big thumbs down goes out to The Copley Police Department. These cops are way out of line and have once again proved they are anti-good times.
